Living and Believing the Distance

Dear you
Its just been hours since you have been gone
But hours just seems to stretch too long
It will soon be months with passing days
Time will go on with its ways
Hoping distance grows fonder
And realization of value will grow bigger
I shall look upon each day as the beginning of new one
For it will aid to take me closer to you my loved one
In between times we shall meet
For it will be easier to let time fleet
So till then we meet Mi Amor
I wish you luck, happiness and more
Yours truly
Me

A year that was

2013 is coming to end
Few more hours to go and 2014 is going to impend
Bringing in suspense and anticipation
Individuals engaged in framing sorts of resolutions

2013 will be a year that was
I bid the year with an applause
It brought in immense memories
There were cake and the cherries

2013 will be a year that was
That ended my year with a cause
To a new year that draws near
Taking my life to a level of sheer

2013 will be a year that was
I can't thank enough because
It dropped the love potion
To whom I bestow my devotion

Let 2014 be as great as any year
Let there be darkness without fear
Let the lights shimmer on everyone
Let there be good Do(s) and forgotten be the Done(s).

Chennai Express

This is a short poem I wrote when I was attending a training at Chennai on Wind Power Technology. I won't say I had the best experience but what ever I experienced is going to be remembered for all times to come. I made some really good friends during the tenure and I am happier about that. This poem was read out during the last day of the training. Happy reading y'all.

My experience in Chennai
Was a mixture of low and the high
Ushered were we with great hospitality
The days passed with peace and tranquility
With very little knowledge we enrolled
29 Days of classes played the role
Role to make us less than the expert but equipped
To be a project manager we will need
Renewable Energy is a smart choice
Depletion of energy it will suffice
Wind power energy has its impact on the noise
But now I know its worth the price
Equipment are huge and weighs massive tonnes
And commissioning may take in millions
Society may agree or disgrace
But with times hopes shall be raised
May each country here have successful wind power projects
Rough may be the task but don't you regret
Because you are the aid to the Nation
Preventing from the harmful impact of Globalisation.

Thoughts while I lay awake

There are things that keep me awake late
Sometimes its about love and at times about hate
I go through a maze of thoughts
Stress and going crazy is ought
So I was thinking while awake
Life is all about what I make
Easy if I be "happy-go-lucky"
Bizarre if I be cranky
Rude if I be all time outspoken
And it won't change things that are broken
Fake happiness if I be lying around for sake
Moments will settle but life will wreck
Then I think of the people around me
People I love and am fond of
Who stand as my strength and my weakness
For we get hurt by our loved ones
Then I feel my body gestures
Heart beats faster and breathe grows stronger
I can't take it any longer
Sigh!!!I try to stop thinking
But while trying not to think I think how not to think
Thinking grows more with ticking seconds
I stare at the ceiling without a blink
It will put me to sleep I reckon
The lights fade in slowly
That's when a  sound sleep comes to me
Away from all the thoughts I be
I will sleep late and wake up gradually

Style icon in the oldies

When I see the fashion in the streets these days, it reminds me of seeing the fashion in between 50s and 60s. The bell bottoms worn in the times of Beatles, Bee Gees and all was seen as a fashion sometime earlier. The CAT-EYE makeup is so in these days and also the BEE-HIVE hairstyles. So I was just thinking of some ladies in the old times that were fashionistas and the one name that came to my mind was AUDREY HEPBURN. I have just seen her in movies and shows but what I saw and read of her, I surely say that she is a magnificent beauty of all times. So this blog of mine is dedicated to Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. she was recognised as both a film and fashion icon.

She was born in Ixelles, a district of Brussels, Belgium. Before she became an actress, she was a trained dental assistant. She survived the World War II with lots of hardship. It was also during this time that she learnt ballet at the Arnhem Conservatory. It was later after the war ended in 1945, Audrey's family moved to Amsterdam where she learnt ballet for three more years. Her film career started when she appeared for the first time as stewardess in "Dutch in seven lessons". Her tall height of 5.7' and poor nutrition due to the war kept her from becoming a prima ballerina. It was after this rejection that she decided to go with the career of acting. I remember watching her movie 'Sabrina" for the first time and she was a paradox of beauty. She was conscious about her looks and more importantly her feet which were size 10. She became a fashion icon with her way of carrying out outfits, shoes and looks. The little black dress that she wore at the 'Breakfast at Tiffany's" was sold at an auction for USD 920,000.00 in 2006 (shown in the picture).

I love going through her quotes and I want to share some of my favorites here.

Poem to anew life

This poem is dedicated to my love for I wanted him to know what he meant for me. Tried putting in words that meant what i felt but like always it turned out to be simple. He loved it anyways and hope you all do too.

Moving on was the only choice I had
where I had to see good from the bad
Times were difficult and hard
Targeted was I with emotional darts
Family and Friends were blessing
Moments were good and impressing
With time I met a guy
Reluctant was I and he a shy
A man of less words and expressions
Yet he possessed a charm of adhesion
Fearing the claustrophobic world of emotions
Careful not to be blinded by illusions
But with him walking by me
I can fly high and free
His love lifts me up
And I know I am safe above
Come may whatever on the way
I will love you through nights and the days.

Love is not all good and happy times, its take hell lot other emotions. We have silent and loud times too but its all in that moment. The everlasting emotion is the love and understanding that both should have. He once told me about a dialect from a movie that read as " when is the time that true lovers will say enough is enough?? "Its never ever." Well, that verse did cast a "TWANG" on my head, so even today when i have down time with him we remember to remember that verse and make up for things.

Pictures speak for themselves

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
